Rita Vindedzis is an established contemporary artist creating original fine art paintings. She has been painting professionally for two decades. A versatile artist, Rita does not limit her creativity to one style and moves from one dynamic series of paintings to the next. Her work has been exhibited in a long list of solo, group shows and art fairs including Toronto Outdoor Art Fair, Artist Project Toronto, One of a Kind Show, Toronto Art Expo, and Art Expo New York.
Rita’s work hangs in numerous private and corporate collections in Canada and the U.S. and her paintings have appeared in Canadian House and Home Magazine, Style at Home Magazine, Chatelaine Magazine, and on numerous television programs.

Tomorrow is a painting day.
All my abstract paintings are signed on the back. The main reason for this is because I really don`t like to see a signature on the front because it disrupts the flow of the painting.
Another reason is because art is so personal, sometimes a collector will fall in love with a painting but in their own way. I may have created it in a vertical format but for them they love it as a horizontal and have the perfect spot for it in their space.

Yesterday`s eclipse had me feeling all the feels. I`m grateful that I got to experience this once in my lifetime event. I didn`t take any photos at all. I wanted to experience it with 100% of my attention and I`m so happy I did.

What inspires my paintings? Anything and everything. Seriously. Inspiration for me comes from everyday life. From what I see around me in my home and from walking around the city. Nature, travel, I can find inspiration just from walking around the mall and window shopping.
What inspired the painting I`m holding? Vodka shots and caviar.

Spotlight on "Pink Champagne Cocktail" This painting is from my cocktail collection and it`s pure fun on canvas. Think girls weekend, or ladies night.
"For me, cocktails are a celebration. Cocktails come to the party all dressed up. They can be fancied up by rimming the glass or adorning them with fruits and little umbrellas. They can be sexy as in Mad Men or Sex and the City. The paintings in the cocktail collection are fun, colourful abstracts. With colour and various mediums, I`ve captured the feelings of fun, happiness, freedom and excitement, that "on vacation" feeling I get when enjoying a cocktail."

"Moment of Clarity" 48" x 36" mixed media on canvas. This painting was created a few years ago and it still moves me as it did when I first painted it. I titled it "Moment of Clarity" because I had been struggling with a personal issue for many months and then one day in an "aha" moment everything became clear to me.

Especially when there is low to zero engagement, or I hear crickets when trying to start conversations. Some days it seems like the social part has disappeared completely but I`m still sharing my art 💗
